whats wrong with rapidshare? I know some people don't like it but it seems like the more trustworthy of the upload hosts. If theres something else everyone prefers I'll use it in the future, It just takes about 3 hours to upload so I gotta pick one...

Mediafire is probably the best major download place (no download limits, no file expiration, no waiting periods). However, I usually upload with ShareOnAll so that people can use whatever site they want.

Of the major upload sites, it has the highest download speed, and its uploading speed is only tied by mediafire. Point for RS.

For half the day or more, it's in its "happy hour," meaning no download wait times, no codes, and no hassle. Ties here with sites like Mediafire and Badongo.

From what I've seen in the past, it seems to have the fewest (percentage-wise) problems with worldwide access.

Major flaws? Yeah. When it's not on happy hour, at least until recently, it got it into its head to use the stupidest captcha I've ever seen. It's gone back to a slightly more sane system, but then, it still has the wait time.

You have a waiting period after every download you make, no matter the size. This wait time is in a direct relationship with the size of the file, so a download of 5mb is going to make you wait some five or six minutes until you can go again, while a download of 80mb is going to cost you over an hour—unless you have dynamic, in which case you can disconnect and reconnect. Still, even that's a bit annoying.

Their policies waver too much. Once upon a time, they had completely done away with the wait time before downloading. For a long time, this was the case. Then they brought it back completely inexplicably. In other words, they're kinda bastards.

Yes. RS sucks. More than Mediafire. It just doesn't suck nearly as much as people tend to claim it does.

God knows it's better than Megaupload for anything under 100mb.

Where the hell do you live? Of all the major uploading sites it's the SLOWEST for me, both in terms of downloading and uploading.

Except that you have to wait an hour between downloads regardless of Happy Hour rules. Badongo and Zshare have infinite successive downloads and I think you can even download multiple files from Badongo at once without paying a dime.

No. It's ALWAYS an hour, even if your previous download broke party-way through.

I checked their little "rules," and noticed that they have implemented a new one download/hour policy—which is very, very new. Even while they still had the cats it was the way I previously described. Suppose I don't have anything in the way of evidence, but if you'll take my word, I got in the habit of ordering my downloads by size, simply because that meant I could pay less attention once the little ones were all out of the way.

Concerning connection speeds: everywhere I've ever used rapidshare as well as other upload sites, it's been consistently faster—whether that was on my fiber-optic connection in my home state, the slowascrap connection at my college, or various broadband locations halfway across the world. I'm not sure where you live that you're getting slower connections than other sites, but speed is the one thing about Rapidshare that has always been consistently better than any other site for me. Megaupload has always, always been the slowest out of the major upload sites, no matter where I've used it, with download speeds typically something like half of RS's; and the upload speed on MU is terrible. I can upload something to RS, MF, and Badongo successively—one at a time—and MU'll still be crawling along, even if I started it before any of the others.

I mean, I'm sure that these things vary according to place and ISP, but RS and MU connections have been very consistent for me in many places, and with many ISP's, so I felt fairly justified in generalizing them that way. Not really trying to start any kind of argument here, I'm just sharing my own varied experiences with RS.

RS has always been slowest for me here in California. I can finish several similar sized downloads from Zshare, Badonga, or MF before a RS finishes and I can finish two or so MU before an RS finishes. This is from my experience in up/downloading several gigs of data a day. Zshare and Badongo are by far the best and my only complaint is all the pop-over ads Zshare uses. Rapidshare is by far my least favorite and always has been, even competing with some of the BS small time uploaders in terms of horrible speeds and terrible captchas.

Basically, for downloading, Mediafire and badongo win.. mediafire allows multiple downloads and it works fast for me.. but if those dont work, try megaupload. If you're paying, try rapidshare because most files are on rapidshare, if you pay you can do more than 1 downloads at a time, have a fast speed, resume broken downloads (i think), and you can ignore that godforsaken download limit..

Ok well my next one will be tonight ill try badango I guess uploading a short manga like this takes about 3 hours on my cell, so I can only do it once really. Thankfully some have been re uping these for me
