Honestly, I think I'd prefer it to stay underground in the US. It gives it a sort of mysterious contre-culture allure.
However it'd attract more people to Desuchan if it was published I guess. I'm not sure if they'd be people we'd want.

They probably wouldn't be. But it would be nice if someone picked up and finished RM:Traumend. Having the empty slots in the box is really driving the fanboy collector in me crazy.

It is true, but alas Otou-Fu just stuck in the Japanese DVD's after buying the only english release (plus the velvet case).

Geneon was in the middle of dubbing this when they decided to have nothing to do with animu outside of Japan. What if each dvd release results in the termination of a dubbing group. We'll have Rozen Maiden but with different voice actors per each two episodes.

That or redub the old releases like FUNimation is doing with One Piece.

OP here. I actually sent an e-mail to FUNimation, and got a more personalized reply than I thought I would!

However, what it essentially says is that yes, they are interested in buying some of the Geneon properties, no they don't have a contract worked out yet, and the lady who is in charge of customer feedback has no idea if Rozen Maiden is one of those desired properties.

Translation: Thanks for your e-mail, but we're only telling you the bare minimum in case you're a corporate spy or something.

tl;dr: No official word on Rozen Maiden re-release.
