To open Edcast it is the same as opening Shoutcast, just hit Ctrl+p while in Winamp to open your preferences. Then scroll the side menu down and click on "DSP/Effect" and then click "edcast DSP v3." Standalone users just open the program.

Ok so now you should see the Edcast window popup. To set up a stream click on "Add Encoder" and then right click the encoder that just poped up and select "Configure"

This window should pop up. Fill in this information correctly.

Quality: 5
Samplerate: 44100
Channels: 2
Encoder Type: OggVorbis
Server Type: Icecast2
Server IP: desuchan.net
Server Port: 8000
Encoder Password: I'm not sure how Weedy wants to handle distrubiting the password so you are going to have to come to IRC for this one.

Mount point: /desu.ogg
Reconnect Seconds: 10

A few notes:

1. Depending on your connection, you might have to change the quality.
2. You can mount it to a different point if you want. Like /boku.ogg or /dawa.ogg
3. You can use this same program to broadcast to BokuRadio if you wish, just make sure to switch the Encoder to AAC, Server to SHoutcast, and IP to dragonfirecastle.com

Stream Name: should be "DesuRadio:" followed by whatever your show name is.
Description: Can be anything.

And don't worry about the advanced settings.

Almost ready to go, just a few more things to go over.

How to connect:
Click connect or right click the encoder and select connect.

Talking: This is pretty simple.
Once connected just click on the microphone with the red X on it. Once you do this your microphone will be live and the radio will be reciving its signal from that. To go back to the music just click the icon again.

Thats about it.

The links to give to your listeners would be

http://desuchan.net:8000/XXXX.ogg where XXXX is what you named the mount point.

so desu.ogg would be http://desuchan.net:8000/desu.ogg

MAJOR problem.

Winamp isnt playing the entire playlist, some songs it skips and refuses to play if I click on them.

If I clear the playlist and load one of the problem songs they play fine, but once I fill the playlist up they have issues.

Any clue ?

Rebuild the playlist and save it as a M3U8, I'm assuming you're trying to play songs that contain Japanese characters.

the files are all there, it only started AFTER I cut+pasted all my music from the playlist into a SINGLE folder.

If I open one of the 'problem' songs by itself, (IE: delete the playlist, open that single song) it plays, but if I add it to a large playlist that song skips.

No, its not jappanest characther named songs (my redALiCE remix's play fine) its just random shit that gets hit.

my actual and working GinAmp skin like as seen in >>704 but still changed. equalizer is now black background, "shine" is removed and bars got clearer now.
also cotaining a somehow matching DFX AudioEnhancer Skin if you use it.
