Definitely agree. Her face and hair are not right, like as though they took a Slayers head and stuck it with some random short-hair piece and put it on a figure with a body suit and called it Rei. Oh, and the random umbrella which I suppose is meant to represent a weapon fails.

However.. This is purportedly a pre-painted figure one can pre-order on HLJ. This wins.

..and so does this Asuka. I've ordered them both, and look forward to seeing what the heck they are. Will post pics eventually when they arrive.

As for that site with the garage kits, are they reliable? I've seen a kit I've rather taken a fancy to, and I'd like to take a whack at building that jobbie. I'd rather not get ripped off, and that's always a concern when dealing with smaller retailers based out of that section of the world. So, any fellow Anonymous had dealings with them?

Which site do you mean? e2046? 1999? HLJ? e2046 is where I get all of my kits, and generally their quality is very good. Better than some official kits. e2046 is located in China, and so far as I understand it, their kits are re-casts, thus they are essentially bootleg. They are cheaper, but honestly, their quality is great. I've only had one or two issues with the many kits I've purchased from them, and those issues were minor and surmountable.

Do NOT buy GKs from Thailand. Pre-paints I'm told are fine, but GKs are astonishingly awful quality. Epic fail. eBay is littered with them.

too bad I took to long searching looked all ver every store that sells the figures has this one sold out and the manufaturer no longer makes em :P

and to answer the above post no this figure is the "cast off" version similar t max factories adult varients, the cloths come off even though they are present they may be removed or "cast off" this figure is my wet dream, no longer availbale save resales and those are few and far between good luck :P :(
