As for Lucky Star, I just did not find it funny. None of the characters were remotely likeable (especially Konata, she treats everybody around her like doormats and they're spineless enough to put up with it). Slice-of-life anime is all about the characters, and LS had the bad luck to have some of the worst characters in the history of anime.

And yet, people worship the show.

Honestly, they're free to. It's not up to me to tell anyone what to like. I'll just stay in the corner and quietly pray for their souls.

Yeah, watching anime in a darkened room and obsessing about it's characters & products is the pinnacle of manhood. I gave up trying to prove the masculinity of my anime obsession by referring to so-called "gar" anime a long time ago, you guys should too. I just enjoy it that's all, I don't want to read too much into it, nor do I want to staunchly defend it against all criticisms. Not that I'm saying that Fist of the North Star isn't a manly anime, but people will continue to have differing opinions on the target audience of all anime, despite the debates.

I too must agree with this man. In my lowly, shitty opinion, I think Lucky Star was all about moe. I didn't find most of, if not any of its dialogue funny. Instead, I kept watching it because it was so GODDAMN CUTE. It was like liquid crack for my eyes.

I've noticed a moé character seems to create some sort of deeply hidden, extremely powerful feeling of attachment and protectiveness, as well as a myriad of other feelings ranging from love to obsession. This is similar to the human nature to dote upon and care for babies and children. This feeling becomes almost addictive, nearly irresistible to those upon whom it has awakened in, and quickly they wish to indulge in more.

But fuck, I dunno. I just like watching cute things. Now that I think about it, most of the shit I've been watching recently has been completely dependent on cuteness and moe factor. Then again, I also found Lucky Star and Rozen Maiden to be strangely more arousing than hardcore porn. Maybe I'm just a pedophile. Perhaps I should kill myself.

Best character of the whole show was killed off in one episode. And it's rather sad that half of her screentime was about torturing her in extremely sexual way. Maaya Sakamoto made it worth watching though.
